About this event
NAMIWalks Orange County is a free, uplifting community walk where every step helps build a stronger, more supportive county for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. Open to all ages, the event welcomes walkers of every background to move together, share stories and help break down the stigma that too often surrounds mental illness. There is no fee to register; many participants fundraise to support NAMI Orange County's free programs, which include education classes, support groups, mentoring, advocacy and the NAMI WarmLine, but donations are not required to take part. On event day, expect a friendly, encouraging atmosphere with team check-in, a walk route suitable for families, and information tables connecting attendees to local mental health resources and services. You can register as an individual, create or join a team with friends, coworkers or family, or simply come out to walk in solidarity. Wearing NAMI blue is a favorite way to show support. Whether you live with a mental health condition, love someone who does, or want to stand with your community, all are welcome.
