About this event

Peacock Lane is a cherished Portland holiday tradition, a single SE neighborhood street where residents deck their historic Tudor-style homes in elaborate lights and displays every December. For a couple of weeks the block becomes a walk-through wonderland, with the opening evenings typically reserved as car-free, pedestrian-only nights so families can stroll the illuminated lane, sip cocoa and take in the displays up close. It is free to walk, and one of the most classic, low-cost ways to soak up the season in the city. Dress warmly, come on foot or park a few blocks away since the street closes to cars on peak nights, and be respectful of the residents who put on the show. Displays run nightly through the holidays.
