The Color Run 5K - Portland

The Color Run returns to Portland International Raceway for a 5K that is more block party than road race. Participants cover a flat, untimed 3.1 miles and pass through a series of color zones where volunteers coat them in bright, cornstarch-based powder. Because there is no clock, no set pace and no elite field, the event draws families, walkers and people running their first-ever 5K. The real payoff is the Finish Festival, where runners gather for coordinated color throws, music and dancing. Dress in white to maximize the effect and consider sunglasses and a bandana to keep powder out of your eyes. Paid registration includes a bib and color packet; check in and packet pickup happen at the raceway, so plan for parking and an early arrival.
