Wisconsin Book Festival

The Wisconsin Book Festival gathers acclaimed authors, poets, and thinkers for a weekend of free readings, conversations, and signings centered on the Madison Public Library. Sessions span fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and children's books, sparking discussion and celebrating the written word across downtown venues. Because the author events are free and open to all, it is one of the most accessible literary gatherings in the Midwest. Browse the lineup ahead of time, arrive early for popular authors since seating is first-come, and pair a session with a visit to the library or a downtown cafe.
