About this event
This free Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training in Waco teaches community members how to recognize and respond to mental health and substance use challenges in young people. Just as CPR prepares people for physical emergencies, MHFA equips participants to offer initial support to a youth experiencing a mental health crisis and to connect them with appropriate help. Hosted by The Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network, the full-day course combines practical skills with real-world scenarios and is valuable for parents, teachers, coaches, youth workers, and anyone who interacts with adolescents. Seats are limited and the training is free for a limited time, so early registration through Eventbrite is recommended.
