About this event
The Central Texas community gathers at Legends Crossing in Waco for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's. Registration and the festival area open at 9:00 a.m., a heartfelt opening ceremony takes place at 10:00 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:45 a.m. along an accessible route welcoming all ages and abilities. This is a public event honoring people living with Alzheimer's and other dementias and the caregivers who support them. In the festival area you can raise a Promise Flower, meet local support organizations, and learn about the Alzheimer's Association's free programs including support groups, education and a 24-hour helpline. There is no registration fee and no fundraising minimum, but participants are encouraged to fundraise so the local chapter can keep care and research moving forward. Bring family, friends, a walking team or come solo - everyone is welcome.
