December #LoveYourWatershed Cleanup

The December #LoveYourWatershed Cleanup on Saturday, December 12, 2026 is the Jordan River Commission's winter installment of its monthly cleanup series, meeting at Millrace Park along the Jordan River Parkway in the Salt Lake City area. Volunteers help remove litter and debris from the trail and riverbanks, keeping the waterway clean through the winter months and protecting habitat and water quality in the Salt Lake Valley. It's a great way to give back during the holiday season and get outside with neighbors who care about the river. The event is free and open to the community; registering in advance helps organizers prepare supplies. Bundle up in warm layers, wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty, and bring water. Gloves and cleanup gear are typically provided on site. Sign up through the event page.
