About this event
The Salt Lake County Walk to End Alzheimer's takes place at America First Field in Sandy, drawing thousands of Utahns who walk to support the fight against Alzheimer's and other dementias. The walk site opens at 9:00 AM, the Promise Garden ceremony begins at 10:00 AM, and the route opens immediately after. There is no registration fee to join, though every walker is encouraged to fundraise in support of the Alzheimer's Association's around-the-clock helpline, free local care and support services, and research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's. The signature Promise Garden ceremony invites participants to raise flowers in colors that reflect their own connection to the disease, creating a powerful sea of blue, purple, yellow and orange. Alongside the walk, families find resource tables, team tents and a supportive community of caregivers, survivors and advocates. The route is accessible and welcoming to strollers and wheelchairs, making it an inclusive event for all ages.
