About this event
Give back to the Los Angeles River this November with Friends of the Los Angeles River at their monthly Habitat Restoration Day. Volunteers help plant and care for native vegetation, remove invasive plants, and clear debris to strengthen wildlife habitat and green the river corridor as it runs through Los Angeles. The work is welcoming to first-timers and rewarding for regulars, and it draws individuals, families, students earning service hours, and organized volunteer groups. Register online in advance; the specific meetup location is provided after sign-up, and FoLAR supplies tools, gloves, and guidance on site. Dress for the outdoors with closed-toe shoes, long pants, and sun protection, and bring a refillable water bottle. Plan for about 8 to 11 a.m. of hands-on work.
