40th Annual Tinsel Triathlon

The Tinsel Triathlon is a festive, beginner-friendly reverse sprint pool triathlon in Hemet, now marking its 40th year. Because it starts with the run, follows with the bike, and finishes with a short 150-meter pool swim, it removes the open-water intimidation that keeps many newcomers away, making it an ideal first triathlon or a fun holiday-season tradition for seasoned athletes. The manageable distances and pool setting keep the atmosphere relaxed and encouraging. Register online in advance; arrive early for check-in, transition setup, and a pre-race briefing on the reverse format and pool-swim seeding. Bring holiday spirit and expect a welcoming, community feel.
