About this event
This free inaugural (Peri)Menopause Wellness Conference, hosted by UNM Hospital's Community Engagement team, gives women in the Albuquerque area evidence-based information, resources and support for navigating perimenopause and menopause. Over a focused morning, sessions explain the physiological changes of the midlife transition in clear, approachable language and explore the roles that nutrition and exercise can play in managing symptoms. Beyond the science, the conference is designed to equip attendees with practical tools for advocating for themselves in medical settings and making informed decisions about their care. It is an educational, community-oriented gathering rather than a sales event, offering a supportive space for women to ask questions, learn from health professionals, and connect with local resources. Admission is free, and pre-registration or advance notice through the UNM Community Engagement contact is recommended so organizers can plan for attendance.
