About this event

The Las Vegas Walk to End Alzheimer's is the valley's edition of the Alzheimer's Association's flagship national event, uniting families, caregivers, care professionals and supporters to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementias. There is no fee to register, and participants are encouraged to build teams and fundraise in support of the association's free 24/7 helpline, care navigation and support groups, and its investment in dementia research. The morning centers on the moving Promise Garden ceremony, where walkers hold flowers in colors that represent their personal relationship to the disease, followed by an accessible walk route open to all ages and abilities. Resource tables, survivor recognition and a strong sense of shared purpose make the event as much a source of community and comfort as it is a fundraiser. Southern Nevada residents can register a team or join as an individual through the Alzheimer's Association's Las Vegas walk page.
