About this event
The Family Health Festival is a free, collaborative community event in Reno that connects northern Nevada families with a wide range of local resources under one roof. Brought together by a committee of nonprofit, civic and healthcare organizations, the festival offers far more than screenings: attendees can access education, employment, food, health, housing, safety and transportation resources in a single visit. Free services on offer typically include the Food Bank of Northern Nevada's Mobile Harvest fresh-food distribution, help applying for SNAP benefits, immunizations and dental screenings, plus dozens of other community booths. Partners regularly include Northern Nevada Public Health, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, Northern Nevada HOPES, the Community Services Agency, Family Resource Centers, Molina Healthcare and Health Plan of Nevada. The relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere makes it easy for parents, seniors and neighbors to gather practical help and preventive care without cost or appointment.
