About this event
The sixth annual FitCrest 5K, presented by Pinecrest Parks and Recreation and powered by Baptist Health, is a community initiative that encourages residents to kick off the new year by pursuing personal health and wellness goals. The event is welcoming and inclusive: runners, walkers, joggers, stroller-pushers, wheelchair users, and even leashed four-legged friends are all invited to take part. Check-in begins at 6:30 AM, a group warm-up starts at 7:45 AM, and the race steps off at 8:00 AM. Every participant receives a timing chip, and those who register in advance get an event t-shirt while supplies last. The race proceeds rain or shine. Registration is $30 through December 9 and $35 afterward; children age four and under participate free.
