About this event
The African American Male Wellness Agency brings 2026 Black Men's Wellness Day to Tampa's Al Lopez Park, framing it as a movement rather than an ordinary health event. The day is about understanding the health disparities that exist, taking actionable steps toward better health, and celebrating the strength and resilience of the Black community.
A central feature is free health screenings delivered by professional healthcare providers, including blood pressure checks and comprehensive assessments, all offered in an upbeat atmosphere billed as the most fun you will ever have at a doctor's appointment. A Kids Zone offers interactive, educational activities centered on health and wellness for children, while a dedicated Senior Pavilion extends the wellness focus to older adults. Live music and performances keep a celebratory mood throughout the morning.
While the initiative centers Black men's health, the event welcomes the entire community, from children to seniors and from newcomers to long-time supporters, emphasizing inclusivity and collective health equity. Admission is free and the event runs from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Al Lopez Park, 4810 North Himes Avenue.
