About this event
OhioHealth's NeuroWellness team hosts a free, two-hour Nutrition after Stroke class for stroke survivors and their care partners at the Neuroscience Wellness Center in Columbus. The session translates nutrition science into everyday choices, covering key dietary concepts, food recommendations, and recipes, with cooking demonstrations and samples to taste. A licensed dietitian and a physical therapist are on hand to answer questions and help attendees make healthier decisions that support overall well-being. The goal is practical: better manage post-stroke symptoms, prevent secondary complications, boost energy, and reduce the risk of a future stroke through smarter eating. For those facing transportation or scheduling hurdles, a virtual option is available. There is no cost to attend. Whether you are recently home from the hospital or years into recovery, and whether you are the survivor or the caregiver, it is an accessible, supportive way to build confidence in the kitchen.
