About this event
Hosted by Stamford Health at its Tully Health Center, this interactive nutrition class is part of the national Food for Life program from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. It introduces how plant-based, whole-food eating can support cancer prevention and survivorship using evidence-based, easy-to-follow guidance. The two-hour session combines a short educational video, a live cooking demonstration, group discussion, and tastings of the dishes prepared, and participants take home printed recipes to recreate the meals. Certified Food for Life instructor Maddie Sobel, who specializes in plant-based nutrition education, leads the class. A special guest from a local farm presents fresh seasonal produce and holds a raffle for attendees. The class is welcoming to beginners and to anyone curious about the connection between diet and health. Registration is required through the event page.
