Run or walk with a purpose at the Charity 5K, held alongside the Eversource Hartford Marathon. Starting at 8:00 a.m. near the Bushnell Theater, the 3.1-mile course tours downtown Hartford past City Hall, the historic Wadsworth Atheneum and the Connecticut State Capitol, finishing under the awe-inspiring Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch. Participants can join an official charity fundraising team or represent a charity of their choice on race day, making this one of Connecticut's most cause-driven road events. Every Charity 5K entrant receives a short-sleeve technical shirt, and the surrounding marathon-weekend festival adds music, food and a big-race atmosphere in the heart of the capital city.
