About this event
The Beach Cities Walk to End Alzheimer's brings the South Bay community to the Hermosa Beach waterfront for a free morning walk supporting Alzheimer's care, support and research. Open to walkers of all ages and abilities, the event pairs an oceanfront route with the Association's signature Promise Garden ceremony, where participants raise colored flowers that each represent a personal connection to the disease, whether living with dementia, caring for someone, or grieving a loss. There is no cost to register, and while fundraising is encouraged to power local programs and global research, it is not required to walk. Along the way, attendees can visit resource tables covering caregiving, early detection and brain health, and learn how to reach the Association's free 24/7 Helpline and support groups. Join a team, start your own, or simply come out on the day to stand with neighbors committed to a world without Alzheimer's. Comfortable shoes, sun protection, strollers and friendly leashed dogs are all welcome on the sand-and-boardwalk setting.
