About this event

The Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival is a free weekend celebration of the music, food and dance born in New Orleans' historic Tremé neighborhood, hosted by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation in beautiful Louis Armstrong Park. Cooks serve up bowls of every kind of gumbo, from seafood to filé to Creole classics, while brass bands, R&B and funk acts perform live. Expect craft vendors, second-line energy and a family-friendly atmosphere in one of the city's most storied green spaces. Both days run 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Admission is free; bring cash for gumbo and a chair for the music.
