About this event
Produced by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival fills downtown's Lafayette Square with two stages of blues, soul and roots music, a smorgasbord of smoked barbecue and Southern eats, and a large arts market. Now in its third decade, the festival is a free community celebration of the music and flavors of the South. Music runs Friday evening (5:30-8:30 p.m.) and all day Saturday and Sunday (11 a.m.-8:30 p.m.). General admission is free; a limited paid VIP area is available for those who want reserved space and amenities. Bring a lawn chair, come hungry, and plan to use nearby parking or transit.
