About this event

New Orleans' official Halloween parade rolls through the Marigny, French Quarter and Central Business District on the Saturday before Halloween. The Krewe of Boo! features child-friendly 3-D fiberglass and papier-mache floats of werewolves, ghosts, vampires and other monsters, marching bands, dance groups and costumed riders tossing beads, toys, candy and locally themed throws. The parade begins on Elysian Fields Avenue, enters the Quarter via North Peters, runs up Canal Street and back down toward the riverfront. It's free, family-friendly and open to the public; just claim a spot along the route. Arrive early for a good viewing position, come in costume, and expect crowds along Canal Street.
