About this event
The Michigan Coalition for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind People hosts this fully accessible community health fair at Madonna University in Livonia. Designed by and for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities, the event makes preventive health information and screenings available in a communication-accessible environment. The 2026 edition places special emphasis on diabetes prevention and awareness in recognition of National Diabetes Month.
Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings including blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, and vision and foot examinations, along with educational presentations delivered by medical professionals and community information tables. ASL interpreters and CART (real-time captioning) services are provided so attendees can access every part of the program directly.
The fair runs Saturday, November 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is entirely free to attend. It welcomes members of the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities and their families. General questions can go to [email protected].
