About this event
Led by registered nurse Michelle Weihman, this free two-hour educational session in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas cuts past pink-ribbon slogans to focus on real, practical breast-health awareness and self-advocacy. Attendees learn to recognize normal breast changes versus signs that warrant a doctor's visit, and gain confidence to have informed conversations with their healthcare providers. The session covers how to ask the right questions, understand and navigate screening options, and advocate for themselves within the healthcare system. Open to all ages and free to attend, it's aimed at everyday community members, especially anyone who wants to feel more knowledgeable and empowered about their own body. Doors open at 11:45 AM and free parking is available. Timed to breast-cancer awareness month, it offers a relaxed, supportive setting to learn from a nurse and ask questions without pressure.
