About this event
A Thanksgiving-weekend running event set inside NASA's Stennis Space Center, offering a full marathon, half marathon and 5K on paved roads that wind around the center's perimeter through wooded areas. The scenic marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier and is sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America and USATF, with chip timing by Pelican Timing Services and aid stations roughly every two miles. The range of distances makes it accessible to casual 5K participants as well as serious marathoners chasing a qualifying time. The 8 a.m. start and cool late-November weather make for comfortable racing conditions in a unique, normally restricted setting. Registration is online through RunSignup, with lower pre-entry pricing before race week.
