Gulf Coast Veterans Association 5K Run/Walk + 1 Mile Fun Run

The third annual Gulf Coast Veterans Association run and walk at Long Beach Town Green, a Mississippi coast fundraiser where 95% of proceeds and donations directly benefit veterans across the region. Participants can choose a standard 5K run, a Heavy Load 5K in which women carry at least 12 pounds and men at least 20 pounds, or a family-friendly 1-mile fun run new this year. The morning includes age-group awards, overall male and female awards, finisher shirts, food and a post-race celebration, with the Heavy Load division recognizing its own top male and female finishers. Registration opens at 7 a.m., the 5K starts at 8 a.m. and the 1-mile follows at 9:30 a.m. A meaningful, community-minded event for runners, walkers, military families and anyone wanting to support local veterans.
