About this event
The Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon brings runners from across the country to Newport, Rhode Island, for a fall race along the city's famous coastline, historic neighborhoods and Ocean Drive. Participants can choose the full 26.2-mile marathon or the 13.1-mile half marathon, both showcasing Newport's Gilded Age mansions, harbor views and seaside scenery. The event is open to the public and draws a wide mix of seasoned marathoners, first-timers and charity runners. Beyond the competition, it functions as a community celebration of health and endurance, with spectators lining the course and a festive finish-line atmosphere. Registration pricing increases the closer it gets to race weekend, and on-site (day-of) entry is the most expensive tier, so organizers encourage signing up early. Water stations, course support and post-race amenities are provided.
