The flagship stop of the SKECHERS Hot Chocolate series lands in Chicago, historically staged in and around Grant Park with a lakefront-flavored course through the city. Participants pick the 15K (9.3 miles) or 5K (3.1 miles) and finish to the series' signature reward: a finisher mug filled with hot chocolate, warm chocolate fondue and treats for dipping. Paid registration usually includes a hooded sweatshirt and other perks. As one of the largest events on the tour, Chicago offers wave starts, strong crowd support and a big post-race atmosphere. Expect cool late-autumn temperatures, so dress in layers. Register early for pricing and sweatshirt sizing, and plan for a pre-race packet pickup expo.
