About this event
The Lansing Turkey Trot is the largest fundraiser for the Michigan Running Foundation, drawing more than 5,000 participants on Thanksgiving morning. The scenic, fast, and accurately measured 5K run/walk winds through downtown Lansing past the State Capitol Christmas tree, with a flexible 9:00-9:10 AM start window. A virtual option is available for those who can't make it in person. Proceeds support youth running programs across Michigan. Every registrant receives a long-sleeve dri-power t-shirt. Register online in advance (there's no confirmed race-day registration for events this size), and grab a family discount by signing up three or more people before Nov 18. A feel-good holiday tradition that earns your turkey and supports kids.
