About this event
Now in its 18th year, the Chatham Turkey Trot draws more than 1,300 participants each Thanksgiving morning for a 1 Mile Family Fun Run and a USA Track & Field certified 5K race through the scenic Highlands section of Chatham Township. This is a community fundraiser at heart: since 2009 the event has raised over $365,000 for local first responders and charitable causes, including the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department, Chatham Emergency Squad, Chatham Township PBA #170, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, the Barton Center for Diabetes Education and the Diabetes Research Institute. Register early (by October 31) to guarantee a race shirt. Whether you are chasing a personal best on the certified 5K or strolling the one-mile loop with the kids, it is a feel-good way to give back before the holiday.
