About this event
NAMIWalks Rock County invites the Janesville-area community to come together for a free walk supporting mental health for all. Part of the nationwide NAMIWalks movement, the event is a public stand against the stigma surrounding mental illness and a celebration of recovery, resilience and community support. Registration costs nothing, and walkers are encouraged to raise funds that allow NAMI Rock County to keep its peer support groups, family education and advocacy programs free of charge. The route is non-competitive and open to participants of every age and ability, and the day typically features community resource tables, volunteers and a warm, encouraging atmosphere. Come to walk for your own well-being, in support of a loved one, or to honor someone you have lost, and join neighbors who understand the importance of mental-health awareness. You can register online ahead of time or sign up in person on walk day.
