Seizure Safety for All

Epilepsy Alliance Louisiana invites families to a fun, interactive community afternoon focused on understanding seizures and learning seizure first aid. Held inside Shreveport's Sci-Port Discovery Center, the free session teaches attendees of all ages how to recognize a seizure and respond calmly and correctly, skills that can make a real difference for the roughly one in ten people who will have a seizure in their lifetime. The afternoon opens with registration from 1:00 to 1:30 PM, followed by hands-on seizure first aid training from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. Afterward, families are encouraged to stay and explore the science center's exhibits together, and every attendee receives a $2 discount toward Sci-Port admission. The event is free, all ages are welcome, and free parking is available. This is a walk-friendly, low-pressure way to build practical health knowledge while enjoying a family outing.
