About this event
The Center for Closing the Health Gap offers a free Caregiver Support Series for people caring for loved ones aged 60 and older. Held at the Forest Park Senior Center in Cincinnati, this four-hour session creates a space to share what you are going through, gain coping tools, and practice self-care alongside others who truly understand the demands of caregiving. The program tackles the practical load caregivers carry, from transportation and daily care tasks to meal prep, household upkeep, and managing finances for aging adults, while also addressing the emotional toll. It pays special attention to the disproportionate burden on Black caregivers, who often spend 30-plus hours a week caregiving and face higher risks of depression and illness. Attendees leave with stress-management techniques, peer support, and connections to healthcare and wellness resources that help them protect their own well-being. Admission is free; call or email to reserve a seat.
