Tammany Turkey Trot 2026

The Tammany Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving-morning tradition in the streets of downtown Covington, benefiting the homeless animals of the Northshore Humane Society. The event includes a 5K and 5-mile run/walk plus a 1-mile fun run, making it welcoming for serious runners and casual families alike (well-behaved leashed dogs are typically welcome, too). Start your holiday with a healthy, feel-good morning of movement and community spirit before the big meal. This is a paid, registered race, with proceeds directly supporting the Humane Society's mission to care for and rehome local animals. Register online in advance; costumes and turkey-themed attire are always encouraged.
