Downtown Fort Collins Holiday Lighting Ceremony

The Downtown Fort Collins Holiday Lighting Ceremony officially kicks off the holiday season in Old Town Square. On the evening of Friday, November 7, the community gathers for live music by the Guerilla Fanfare Brass Band from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a short ceremony around 6:30 p.m. before more than 65,000 lights strung through Old Town's trees are switched on all at once. It is a cheerful, family-friendly kickoff with a magical big reveal, and the lights then glow every evening through February 14. The ceremony is free and open to the public. Dress warmly, arrive a bit early for a good spot in the square, and plan to stroll the newly lit streets and downtown shops afterward.
