About this event

A cherished New Orleans holiday tradition dating back decades, Caroling in Jackson Square gathers thousands of residents and visitors in the heart of the French Quarter for a candlelit community sing-along. Led by local musicians and clergy, the crowd sings traditional Christmas carols beneath the glowing St. Louis Cathedral, with song sheets and candles provided free of charge. Presented as part of the 'Holidays New Orleans Style' program by French Quarter Festivals, Inc., the hour-long event is entirely free and open to all. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the singing runs 7-8 p.m. Arrive early for a good spot, bundle up, and be ready for one of the city's most heartwarming shared moments.
