About this event
A three-hour continuing-education training for mental-health clinicians presented by Alive (Alive Hospice) at its Murfreesboro office and residence, focused on the evolving ethics of bereavement support. Led by Ali Drescher, MA, LPC, the morning session addresses contemporary complexities in grief counseling, including emerging technologies such as AI chatbots that mimic deceased loved ones, the newly recognized Prolonged Grief Disorder diagnosis, and culturally informed assessment. Clinicians get practical frameworks for navigating ambiguous scenarios and are encouraged to bring their own questions on topics from digital-legacy management to gaps in current bereavement care. The session also acknowledges the personal grief clinicians themselves may carry. It offers 3 NBCC credit hours at $50 per participant; doors open at 8:30 a.m. with free parking.
