About this event
Operation Honor: Rural Salute SC is a free, family-friendly community event at the Phillips Market Center in West Columbia designed to serve rural veterans and their families, while welcoming the whole community. The day combines a festival feel with practical support: food trucks, live music, craft vendors, a Veteran Farmers Market, speaker panels and children's entertainment, alongside on-site resource tables. Attendees can meet VA representatives for benefits and claims help, connect with employment and entrepreneurship support, and access mental-health services and community partners. The organizers stress there is no barrier to attending: no appointment, no formal dress, and no specific need required to walk through the gate. Registered attendees receive swag bags while supplies last. Parking and admission are free, and all ages are welcome. Hosted by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Veteran Help Point, Inc.
