About this event
Psychiatry for Non-Psychiatrists is an online continuing-medical-education program (offered October 16, 2026) designed to help primary-care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinicians better recognize and manage common psychiatric and behavioral-health conditions in general practice. Delivered virtually through Des Moines University's CME program, the course provides practical, evidence-based guidance on topics such as depression, anxiety, and other mental-health concerns that frequently present outside specialty psychiatric settings, equipping non-psychiatrist providers to improve patient care. The virtual format makes it accessible to clinicians across Iowa and beyond without travel. Registration is available at cme.dmu.edu/pnp-2026. This is a professional CME activity intended for licensed and training healthcare providers.
