About this event
Serving the Ascension and greater Baton Rouge area, this Walk to End Alzheimer's gathers families, caregivers, and community members at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. Check-in and registration run from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m., with the walk ceremony beginning at 9:00 a.m. The event features the Alzheimer's Association's signature Promise Garden, where each flower color represents a walker's personal connection to the disease. Registration is free, and participants are encouraged to fundraise to support Alzheimer's care, community support programs, and research toward a cure. It's a heartfelt, family-friendly morning of solidarity, whether you're honoring a loved one, supporting a caregiver, or standing with your community against dementia. All are welcome to join and show their support.
