About this event
The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk brings the Charlotte community together for a non-competitive celebration of courage and hope. Walkers of all ages gather at First Ward Park in Uptown to honor survivors, remember those lost, and raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, patient support, and screening access. The morning includes a survivor recognition, a community walk, and a supportive, uplifting atmosphere. Registration is free and open to everyone; participants are encouraged to fundraise but it is not required to walk. Bring family, friends, coworkers, or a team and wear pink.
