About this event
Billed as one of Charlotte's biggest Halloween happenings, the Running Scared 5K & Monster Mile takes over the SouthPark area on Halloween morning. The 5K starts at 9:30 a.m. and the one-mile Monster Mile follows at 10:15 a.m., with a virtual 5K option too. Costumes are encouraged (though not required), and the event includes activities for kids, food trucks and entertainment, making it a festive family outing. Proceeds go to Carolina Breast Friends, a local nonprofit supporting people affected by breast cancer. Entry is $34.99 for the 5K and $19.99 for the Monster Mile, with prices increasing after August 31, so register early on RunSignup. Come in costume, run for a cause, and enjoy the post-race party.
