The BE FAST 5K honors stroke survivors and raises awareness of stroke warning signs (the 'BE FAST' acronym) along the Toledo riverfront at Promenade Park. Options include a chip-timed 5K run (10:00 AM), a 1-mile walk (9:45 AM), and a 100-yard kids fun run (9:30 AM), plus a virtual 5K. Stroke survivors register free. One hundred percent of registration, donations, and raffle proceeds go to the ProMedica Foundation Stroke Patient Assistance Fund. The morning also features free stroke risk assessments, educational materials, a resource fair, entertainment, and a post-race meal. Early registration (through 9/25) saves $10. A welcoming, family-friendly community event centered on heart-and-brain health.
