City Year Baton Rouge MLK Day of Service

Each year on the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, City Year Baton Rouge organizes a community 'day on, not a day off' alongside AmeriCorps members and hundreds of local volunteers to honor Dr. King's legacy through service. Volunteers take part in hands-on projects such as school beautification, murals, cleanups and improvements that benefit Baton Rouge neighborhoods and students. The event is free and open to community members, families and groups who want to give back. It's a meaningful way to mark the holiday with purposeful action. Check the City Year Baton Rouge events page closer to the date for the meeting location, project details and volunteer registration.
