About this event
Black Men's Wellness Day comes to New Orleans for a free, family-friendly morning centered on the health of Black men and their communities. Held in the historic Congo Square, the event pairs free health screenings with education, culture, and celebration, encouraging attendees to understand the health disparities that exist, take practical steps toward better health, and celebrate the strength and resilience of the community. Walk in for a blood pressure check and a broader health assessment, then explore resource tables staffed by local health organizations. Families are welcome: a Kids Zone offers interactive, educational, health-focused activities for children, while a dedicated Senior Pavilion serves older attendees. Live music and entertainment keep the energy high throughout the morning. The event is free and open to the public, so no ticket purchase is required to attend, though registering ahead helps organizers plan. Runs from 7:00 AM to noon.
