Omaha Turkey Trot

Start Thanksgiving morning with movement, family, and a good cause at the Omaha Turkey Trot. Held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, on a fast, flat road course through downtown Omaha, the event offers a timed 5K, a casual Fun Run, and fundraiser registration options so runners, walkers, and kids can all take part. The course welcomes participants of every age and pace, and every finisher is rewarded with a donut at the finish line. The race benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation, turning an active holiday tradition into support for children facing critical illnesses. Typically drawing between 1,000 and 5,000 participants, it is a lively, festive way to burn some pre-feast energy while giving back to the community. Bundle up, bring the family, and enjoy an Omaha Thanksgiving tradition.
