About this event

A five-day fall foliage celebration in Oakland and across Garrett County in far western Maryland, now in its 59th year. The festival honors the region's mountain autumn with a Grand Feature Parade (Saturday, October 10 at 1:00 PM in downtown Oakland), an Annual Fireman's Parade, marching bands, floats, a Mountain Top Cruisers Car Show, a community Turkey Dinner, and an opening Kick-Off Reception with the festival King and Queen. It's a hometown-pride celebration that draws visitors from across the region to enjoy peak fall color, music, food, crafts, and community events throughout the Deep Creek Lake area. Check the official site for the full schedule of parades and activities.
