About this event
The North Shore Turkey Trot celebrates the Highland Park community on Thanksgiving Day with a 5K, a 10K, and a Kids' Trot, followed by a post-race tailgate featuring apple cider, pie, music, and games. It's a family-and-friends morning tradition that gathers neighbors before the big feast, with the Highland Park Community Foundation as a partner. Registrants receive an exclusive hoodie (5K/10K) or youth tee (Kids' Trot) plus a finisher's medal, race photos, and tailgate access with refreshments. Register online in advance. A festive, community-centered way to start the holiday on Chicago's North Shore - bundle up and bring the whole family for the tailgate afterward.
