About this event
Liberating the Mind is a four-day residential meditation retreat centered on the Seven Factors of Enlightenment, offering a structured path toward insight, balance and inner freedom. Held at the Metta Meditation Retreat Center near Janesville, Minnesota, on the peaceful shores of Lake Elysian, the retreat combines guided meditations, dharma talks and periods of silent practice in a supportive, contemplative environment. Set on 37 acres of woodlands and prairie roughly an hour from the Twin Cities, the center provides a restorative natural setting well-suited to late-autumn reflection. Whether you are new to meditation or have an established practice, the teachings are presented in an accessible way, with instruction to help participants cultivate mindfulness, energy, tranquility and equanimity. The retreat is open to all who wish to attend. Advance registration is required and a program fee applies; reach out to the center for details on cost, lodging and meals so you can plan your stay.
